Brinda, Arundhati and Medha are not bothered cause this is not a national issue and it doesn't have any media attention. This will not give them any cheap publicity, and moreover poor women are not human for these hypocrites hence they have no human rights.
Moreover, no religion ever asks money from a couple to stay together. In fact that lady should file a complain under minority harassment act and drag these people into light of media.
If any member from group works for national news agency etc should take initiative towards bringing such issues in notice of society.
Lastly, I don't understand why this report is calling the rapist as Jehadi?? Was he part of the communist party or he is Jehadi. He cant be both.

Murshidabad: In a virtual repeat of the Imrana case, a mother of four has been driven out of her village in Murshidabad district by a Muslim panchayat after being raped by Jehadi.
The panchayat ruled her marriage stood invalid in the wake of the incident and neither could she live with her husband nor could she enter the predominantly Muslim village, about 200 km from Kolkata.
The village council ruled the couple should pay Rs 50,000 if they wished to stay together, a pre-condition which the victim's husband, a daily wage labourer, failed to meet. She was also not allowed to stay at her father's house by her stepmother, and this left her virtually homeless.
These villages in West Bengal is ruled by these Jehadi thugs who have membership in Communist party, Police also wont dare to do anything which may invite the wrath.
Brinda Karat, Arundhati Roy, Medha Patkar trio who wants to free the Terrorist Afzal was not at all bothered by these atrocities faced by Muslim women all over India .
