Understood the loophole... but how it would be if the terrorist is kept in the confines of the closed bars and then his nervous system that connects to his brain is discarded so that he is still alive but without any senses so then he wont be much of help to his employers and they wont plan another kidnap for ransom to release the terrorist...

Something has to be planned to punish the terroist in such a way that it should strike fear to his employers and other fanatic people trying to join the cult the ,moment they think of doing the terror act.... i still think that putting a terrorist to death is a small punishment it is as we are depriving him of his suffering in the most easisest way......for some of them death is not at all a fear factor ( suicide bombers, these fanatics are trained in such a way that they are ready to hug the death ) so we should try to see that they are suffered the maximum when they are caught......

Hi Friend!

To some extent i do agree with what you said..but there is one loophole with it. OK..lets imagine this..any terrorist is caught and hes locked as u said with no connection to the outer world. But..do u remember the story of Kandahar? Again someone would be doing something and demands to set that terrorist free at the risk of innocent people..Now...its again back to the start line.  This will not work mate.

I request you not to take anything personal. As i said earlier..we are not against Islam or Quran. Its a fight against terrorism. But i can assure this group that you are not in favour of terrorism. Any statements which you have felt abused u personally...please dont take it to ur heart.

Naresh,

Well dear friend.. agreed to all your points..but we are still talking of punishing the terrorist...instead of terrorism....

Forget about Afzal... he is now a closed chapter...whether he is innocent or not innocent is a matter of his conscience; if it is still within him.....but what about the cause of terrorism....do you mean to say that we shall wait till one more terrorist attacks and kills people and then we shall catch him and have a huge drama over it running to packed houses in all the media...of whether the terrorist is innocent or not and then killing him...

No my friend, why to wait till the terrorist strikes again to kill our near and dear ones so that we can catch hold of him to get the revenge.....itz the worst thing to do or think of... instead why dont we as a nation try to address the root cause of terrorism....and erase it with public support and pressurizing the governemnt....so that in future we dont lose our near and dear ones due to these fanatic terrorists who have got no religion of thier own and are just a puppet in the hands of the greater powers around the world....

There has to be a cause there has to be a reason... let us try to get to it if not atleast let us as a nation address this problem to the government and concerned judiciary to act upon it and crack down to the root levels of terrorism.......

But please understand that the Cause and Reason can never be Isam or the teachings of Quran...because the acts of the terrorist can never ever be in tune to the teachings of Quran.....

So, by punishing a single terrorist and not prosecuting their employers, nobody can eradicate terrorism. Every moment a new terrorist will join this cult.

I do not mean to say these people should not be punished at all.

They should be kept alive in the confines of closed bars, and cut them off with the world including their families, near ones and dear ones... they should never be made to see the outside world but should be kept alive...  to realize how painful it is to lose loved ones due to their unjustified actions. Sentencing them for a death penalty is relieving them from this suffering.

When Osama fought against Soviet invasion in Afghanistan, he was hailed as brave warrior of resistance. He was granted all kinds of weapons. Once, the cold war was accomplished he and his fearless fighters were abondoned.
When he demanded his compensation, he was deemed as a terrorist.
When Saddam was putting up a fight with Iran ( a war which lasted the 8 years term of Late Reagan) he was given all kinds of weapons. When he used some of these supplied weapons on people who threatened to kill him, he was judged as a terrorist and dictator.
In order to anhillate terrorism, people should go after the employers of such terrorists.

Any guts to raise voice against t he rich and famous, the powerful and bully. As an individual i dont think we have that guts but as a nation yes.... let us try to address the root levels of terrorism.... remember killing Afzal or  not killing him is never a solution....and dont think that iam trying to put across my views to support Afzal...he is a closed chapter..........

Jaffery..

Good to hear nice words from you mate. But the roots of terrorism has spread like anything in India and also in many countries. The best way is to find them..prosecute them and kill them if they are found guilty. Lets accept the fact that Indian Judicial system is much softer than what it means in other countries. They seldom award death penatlies. If thats the case...there is some strong reason and EVIDENCE which prooves afzal is guilty and terrorist. Terrorists who claims that they fight for justice and kill innocent people shouldnt be spared at any cost. If you are aware of this case...Afzal's name has got into light by professor gilani who is one of the accused in this attack. I didnt want to be rude...but as Satya said...how wud be the feeling if u lose someone who is close to u. I dont want to talk abt ur near and dear...just imagine u know a person and hes killed in these kind of brutal attacks...how wud u feel?  and my punch line...NO TERRORIST WILL SURVIVE. Eventually they all will be gone one day.

Yes friend... The bottom line here is all those who are supporting Afzal... until and unless they have a personal encounter with terrorism... they would never get the message.  All these big talks about "terrorist are humanbeings" would die the very moment when these SUPPORTERS lose their loved ones to terrorism.... Like in hindi they say... Jiss par beethe wohi jaane...  Now they want to blame things on Indian Judiciary, the same person in any other part of the world would have been history by now... but it is India that is why is he still alive one piece.

Keep the faith.

Hi,
  Welldone all of my friends.
Here is my opinion.
India having terrorism because of only these stupid fellows like Afzal & his advocate cum Manager Faisal.
I say, Afzal should be hanged.
Pure Muslims who are the great followers of Islam would not oppose it; unfortunately we have very rear of them.
In India No matter what religion, what cast we are from. We must be united & fight against the terrorism.
People like Faisal will never go with national integrity; they are frogs from small ponds which they assume entire community. Being unaware of the world out of the pot & their affects, how can he make stupid comments? Until unless they suffer the one bad experience they wont understand it.

I respect all the religions, that's  why I believe in God.
I am proud to be an Indian.
