When a friend is in trouble, don't annoy him by asking if there is anything you can do. Think up something appropriate and do it. I value the friend who for me finds time on his calendar, but I cherish the friend who for me does not consult his calendar. A friend is not a true friend unless he protects his brother in three situations: in his misfortune, in his absense, and at his death. Do not save your loving speeches for your friends till they are dead; Do not write them on their tombstones, speak them rather now instead. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you ever had. Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same. In the rhythm of Life, we sometime find ourselves out of tune, But as long as there are friends to provide the melody,  The music plays on. You can make more friends in two months  by becoming interested  in other people than you can in two years  by trying to get other people interested in you.
