A Terrorist is a devotee who religiously believes that in order to achieve their dreams or goals, they need to scare others.
Terrorism like any other religious "ism" is an institution that gives necessary guidance to perform.
These devotees are home grown.
When children of the same father are treated unequally, someone will rebel.
It is the duty of the father to make sure all his children are treated fairly by him.
In the eyes of our Holy Father "The Almighty" all creatures are embedded with His Spirit and treated equally by Him.
These devotees have conquered the fear of death and are hired by rich and powerful to protect them from any harm.
When their dirty work is accomplished through terroristic means, they abondon these fearless devotees who seek additional assignments for their livelihood.
When these devotees demand from their employers, they are accused of terrorism.
So, by punishing a single terrorist and not prosecuting their employers, nobody can eradicate terrorism. Every moment a new devotee will join this cult.
I do not mean to say these people should not be punished at all.
They should be given time (while in custody of law enforcement) to realize how painful it is to lose loved ones due to their unjustified actions.
Sentencing them for a death penalty is relieving them from this suffering.
Then, every individual who is deprived of same priveliges as others, will commit such an act in future and instead of killing themself would want to kill others and easily be sentenced to death.
The famous proverb in Hindi movies is appropriately applicable to these devotees.
"Sidhi ungli se ghee nahin nikley toh ungli tedi karni chahiye"
meaning: "If you cannot achieve through asking and demanding then use force"
The enforcement of slavery is achieved by terrorising but nobody punishes those people who treat poor people as their slaves.
It must be remembered that an individual can become a leader because of their power
(bullying the weak because of their wealth) or by knowing the law and scaring others.
A timid, God fearing or down-to-earth person can never ever become a leader.
Alexander The Great was able to invade states and nations because of his terrorist acts. But he was treated as a legend in history. People talk about his bravery and art of conquering.
When a leader of a nation does not comply with the rules of the powerful nation(s), they are threatened of punishment by coalition forces.
Now, who are the terrorists here?
This is called targeted democratic terrorism.
When Osama fought against Soviet invasion in Afghanistan, he was hailed as brave warrior of resistance. He was granted all kinds of weapons.
Once, the cold war was accomplished he and his fearless fighters were abondoned.
When he demanded his compensation, he was deemed as a terrorist.
When Saddam was putting up a fight with Iran ( a war which lasted the 8 years term of Late Reagan) he was given all kinds of weapons. When he used some of these supplied weapons on people who threatened to kill him, he was judged as a terrorist and dictator.
In order to anhillate terrorism, people should go after the employers of such devotees.
The rich and famous, the powerful and bully.
God bestow Peace on Earth.
