Of course you did a wrong thing by taking backup of company data in your pendrives.. It is illegal to do that... I suspect there was more information than just email ID and phone numbers. You should be punished
I work for company similar to Google and much more.... We have all the data and profiles of people including their personal infomation we provide to other organization including FBI... never ever steal somebodies personal data from your company. They can and will always catch you.
