Question Of Rise Or Fall Of Indian GDP? ©

I don't have intelligence level to claim as in following message that "- Indian's share of world GDP rose during 1998-2006 from 1.39% to 1.181% - However India's rank fell from 11th to 14th" GDP rose from 1.39% to 1.181%????

India's GDP Slipped From 1.93% of World & 9th Rank in 1995 To 1.74% & 12th Presently. But Pakistan performed slightly better improving ranking from 44th to 43rd and GDP share from 0.25% to 0.266%.

But I don't rate economics and caliber of Manmohan Singh worth my chappal. Whatever little respect I had for this old man was gone completely when I heard and read that he and RBI are trying to fund moneylenders and recognize and regularize their businesses so that they may add one more knot around the neck of farmers and SMEs.

v                 Moneylenders are not just exploiters of society but actually employ "Gooda Elements and criminals". He has also not done anything to punish cheat and swindlers and cases like "Re-routing of Caller ID Frauds".

In 1975 I was writing Social Studies exam for AMIE. I had no time to prepare and at that time I was working almost 12 hour a day, procurement in charge for then largest thermal power plant in India. I persuaded my immediate boss to accept my departure report to proceed on one-week leave. I two days I received telegram canceling the leave and ordering me to report for duty immediately.

I decided to go for Social Studies exam with any preparation and use my common sense. Questions for Social Studies exams were "How To Remove Poverty, Hunger, Economic Development etc." I was thrilled for when ever I am asked to write on a new subject or respond to unexpected question I am always on top.

I topped Social Studies subject scoring 65% marks.

Answers to all questions were similar. 1. India should promote innovations and high tech industries, 2. Promoting High value additions industries, 3. Provide irrigation to most fertile soils, 4. Improve storage and handling procedures, 5. Promoting Mechanization of Farming, 5. Provide low interest loans to farmers SMEs etc. etc.

Coming from "Commission Agent" back ground above ideas of promoting top engineers and inventors which crop up instinctively and effortlessly were contrary to his family traditions of money lending and exploiting farmers by giving them low profit margins and charging consumers several time purchase cost.

For four or more years at Oxford He Shut His Eyes & Brains to such basic ideas of growth and development.

1. Manmohan Singh purposely and effectively prevented NRI investments with inflow of technologies in India. Only a crooked mind could obstruct inflow of capital and technologies brought by our own people.

2. His only achievement of removing licenses is most insignificant and actually has led to abuse by industry, 70% to 80% of our Petroleum refinery capacity is coming up in Gujarat. Low value addition or low tech. industries were promoted. People don't really know that majority of the companies collected public money and disappeared. NPA exceed Rs.2,00,000 crores, with interest may be Rs.4,00,000 crores. All this money was advanced to junk projects.

3. GOI provided incentives and tax dodges @ $35b annually to JUNK industries or that adds very little value to products. Commission Agent Finance Minister and PM finds nothing wrong in some exporter buying products from the SMEs and put his label and claim all the tax dodges and incentive that were supposed to be meant for SMEs and skilled workers.

I will cover more in next message.

Are you sure your 1995 data is compatible? Incidentally I really appreciate your quantitative analysis. Please continue this work.

I did a quick analysis, and it suggests that

- Indian's share of world GDP rose during 1998-2006 from 1.39% to 1.181%
- However India's rank fell from 11th to 14th.

Thus a few countries Spain, South Korea and Brazil did even better than India.

We need a pro-business and pro-industry climate in India to allow India to be more competitive.

Coming to politics: How about doing an analysis of India's governments from 1947? I definitely know that India's share of world exports fell during Nehru and Indira Gandhi's rule, and started rising only during PV Narasimha Rao's time.

I don't agree with your evaluation of Manmohan Singh.

India's GDP Slipped From 1.93% of World & 9th Rank in 1995 To 1.74% & 12th Presently? ©

Friends,
It will shock you to discover that India has slipped in GDP ranking from 9th position in 1995 to 12th position presently and we have lost in market share also from 1.93% to 1.74%.

Our government fooled us by false claims that India will overtake USA by 2050 when actually India has slipped in global ranking from 9th rank to 12th rank and market share as well.

Obviously India Is Top On Corruption Map.

Spain, Brazil and South Korea were below India and are way ahead now.

As top inventor and thinker I expressed grave concern over the gross incompetence of the government both under ABV and Manmohan Singh.

You may refer to earlier mails also on Indianthinkers Yahoogroups.

Worst thing is GOI led Loot & Fool machinery led us to doom in a systematic manner.
