Re: //Dil Se Desi// hello

Hi Madhu

What you are trying to say is not clear from your mail. Are you trying to say that 40% of the group mails are repeats or you are trying to say that some boys in the group forward the group mails to you.?

If you mean the first one then you are totally wrong. I would like you to prove your claim. This is a moderated group , that means each and every mail that the group receives from the members, is first opend and scrutinised by the moderator and then only approved/diapproved for releasing to the group. I can agree that may be 1% of the mails could be repeats but not 40%. It is very difficult to define what is a repeat and what is not. A mail may be repeat for you but it can be new for someone else.We as moderators have to take care of all the members' interests. How do you expect us to know that which mail is repeat for which member out of a group strength of 40500+ members.!!!!
Let me assure the group members that during moderation, we take utmost care that mails are not repeated, at least at a short interval. If a mail is appearing after a few months and its really a good one, worth repeating, only then we repeat it. This is done in exceptional cases and not as a routine. This repeating is done for the benefit of new comers and those who may have missed it on the earlier occasion.

If you are saying the second one, well then we have no control over this as moderators of the group, since these mails are forwarded in personal capacity. I know that there are many people who forward the group mails to a fellow member. This is really annoying. All the members should realise that the group mails are received by all the members and hence there is no need to forward these mails to others in the group. In such cases just tell the sender this thing and ask him to stop mailing to you.
