Hi!Ash,
Instead of being philosphical about this issue take a reality check,in an ideal world what you say is right but not in todays world.Just think it upon your self if some one rapes you and leaves to die and some how you survive than would you be content to let that person to live and repent may be you can take it but think if this is to happen to the persone you love the most then.
I am not trying to bring you down and sorry if i hurt your feelings but just for a debate i think death penelty is necessary and should be handed over very strictly. Please do reply what you think because i would love to know what you think.
Regards,
Sam.

Our Life is granted to us as desired before we last died. Our deeds determine our destination. Our actions are certainly judged by our Creator.People have taken the task of God to judge them in the society we live.A person does not like someone's actions and deems him/her as an evil person.Even though a Judge is appointed to sentence the culprit. In death penalty cases the judge relies entirely on the jury and he/she only reads the verdict of the jury to sentence the culprit. So, even the Judge does not take the responsibility of the Creator to judge another person.God gives opportunity to everyone to repent.Look at Saddam Hussein. He is still alive and given enough time to repent for his actions. Maybe he was not that bad after all. However, his 2 sons were killed in action. Maybe they were in fact very bad and God chose to punish them in His own ways.Let the judgement of death remain in the hands of Creator.Let's not be Him.If a killer is confined to an isolated cell then people are granting them time to repent. But people fear their life if such killers are allowed to live (far away from society in heavily guarded prison). So, death penalty is UNFAIR and people should treat the culprits as a mentally imbalanced person. Maybe they were deprived of LOVE (Care and Share) which forced them to act in a spur of the moment.Remember, every creature has a soul which is part of the Creator. Let Him guide people to leave His judgement upon His will. Both the cases are FAIR and absolutely correct justice is been given! This will atleast give a message to the society that you cant get away by doing anything. But the only issue with these cases are, judiciary system has taken too long to punish these cruel murderers.Justice delayed is justice denied!RegardsArchana----- Original Message ----
